Tomas – Leadership, Curiosity, and Growth

Tomas D. Eldert is a passionate and engaged student at The Village School of Naples (TVS), well-known for his love of learning and dedication to personal growth. As a member of the Class of 2028, Tomas’s favorite subject is history, where he enjoys diving into fascinating topics like Roman, Chinese, and Medieval history. His curiosity for the past inspires him to explore how different civilizations shaped the world we live in today. Alongside his academic interests, Tomas has a strong passion for soccer, which allows him to bond with classmates while staying active and having fun.

Tomas has demonstrated leadership and teamwork through various projects during his time at TVS. One standout project for him was the "Titanium Project" in Mrs. Butler's class, where he took on the role of leader to present how titanium works and its uses. Tomas felt a deep sense of pride as he led his team, showcasing his ability to guide and inspire others. He also fondly remembers working on the "The 5 Amazing Rock-a-Fellas and Tarbell Project" in seventh grade with Mrs. Tish. Being part of a group project with his friends not only strengthened his teamwork skills but also deepened his friendships.

Attending weekly chapel services has been a meaningful part of Tomas’s journey at TVS. It has provided him with opportunities for personal reflection and spiritual growth, allowing him to better understand both God and himself. His favorite Christ Skills are kindness and humility, virtues he strives to embody daily.

Among Tomas’s proudest accomplishments at TVS is discovering newfound confidence in himself. Through helping others and forming new friendships, he has grown into a more self-assured and compassionate individual. His parents serve as his role models, always encouraging him to follow his dreams and persevere through challenges. Their unwavering support has motivated Tomas to never give up and stay focused on his goals.

Collaboration is a key value for Tomas, and he enjoys working together with his classmates to achieve common goals. Whether it’s during group projects or on the soccer field, he believes that having fun and finding ways to get along are essential to success. Tomas’s dedication to serving others extends beyond the classroom. He has volunteered at a rock-climbing camp over the summer, earning over 100 service hours, and has also supported Mr. Glen’s camp at The Village School.

Looking to the future, Tomas is eager to continue growing both academically and personally. He has an interest in learning more about entrepreneurship and leadership, skills that will help him pursue his long-term dreams. In the meantime, he is focused on working hard at TVS and has set a personal goal to save money for his first car.

With his strong work ethic, supportive family, and commitment to kindness and leadership, Tomas is on an exciting journey, and we look forward to seeing all he accomplishes in the future!
